For those of you that get mad and/or annoyed at these types of posts, sorry. I think it’s fun. It gets everyone talking and sharing, which is cool. Anyway, on to my S10.

1. Faded paint.

2. One rust spot above left rear wheel.

3. A/C compressor is noisy and on its way out.

4. A/C has a slow leak and needs to be charged once a year.

5. Have to let the fuel pump prime before starting it when the engine is warm.

6. Tear in driver’s seat upholstery.

7. Driver’s seat recline handle is broken. This happens in every S-Series ever made.

8. Tires have good tread but are old and dry rotted and the right rear has a slow leak. Will be getting new tires before winter.

9. Headliner is falling and held up with safety pins.

10. Dashboard has cracks.

11. Driver’s door panel is cracked and held to the door with drywall screws (done before I got the truck). This works surprisingly well because the screws are easy to remove and replace.

12. Driver’s mirror is coming loose and needs to be replaced. A new one on Amazon is $17. Yay.

13. Occasional “air bag” light if I leave it parked with the wheels turned. This goes away after about 30 seconds.

14. Puff of smoke upon start up. Valve seals.

15. Assorted scratches and such from being a 21-year-old truck.

16. Occasional pop from front end if taking a turn at a higher speed (as high of speed as this thing can manage, anyway).

17. Dent in left rear bumper and right rear bedside.

18. Oil pressure gauge is inoperable and just swings around willy nilly.

And I love the damn thing anyway.

It runs and drives as smooth as ever and comes in handy all the time. The 4WD works great, too. I drive it to work during shitty weather times like snow or hail or flood.

‘Murica.

Was going to post one of these for my Sonoma but mine is pretty much the same, but you know, yellow.

I think once they get to a certain age and mileage, all the S-Series trucks pretty much have the same problems. Mine are all thankfully pretty minor and don't affect it much since it's not my daily driver. I usually drive it once a week or so.

470k on that thing? Is that in freedom miles or sneaky kilometers?
